Ben Williams
Senior Project Lead
Ben is an experienced project lead who brings his broad expertise across health, care and housing to driving projects at Care City. Ben has led projects for LB Barking & Dagenham on the living wage in homecare and for UCLPartners, looking at digital technology and the future of dementia services. Most recently, Ben has led Care City’s work in scheduling, running a project funded by InnovateUK, in partnership with NELFT and Satalia, which successfully developed a tool to automate and optimise the scheduling of District Nurses.
Ben joined Care City with a background in age-friendly and accessible design; human rights advocacy – especially with regards to the Mental Capacity At – and supporting carers. Ben set up the Dementia Friendly London Housing group working with the Mayor of London to create a dementia friendly capital city. He was also on the NICE committee who developed the current national Dementia guidance (NG97), and continues to be an Expert Adviser for NICE.
