Hannah Harniess is leaving Care City in June to take up a new role as Associate Director at NELFT where she will be focussed on workforce strategy and planning. We’re very sorry to see Hannah go but delighted that she is joining one of our founding partners and will continue to be an advocate for the work and mission of Care City.
We’d like to thank Hannah for her huge contribution to Care City and our east London community over the last four years. She led us successfully through the exciting, but daunting task of becoming a Community Interest Company, firmly establishing us as a valued partner to the North East London health and care system and developing exciting partner collaborations with her extensive network links. Hannah’s secondment to NELFT during the pandemic, working as part of the senior clinical leadership team to establish the second Nightingale Hospital London, heightened her drive to help people develop into health and social care roles. The learning and insights she brought back have been integral to our workforce development programme, and has contributed to the recent NELHCP successful bid to establish a Mayor’s Academy Health Hub in NEL.
This creates a unique opportunity for a forward thinking Chief Operating Officer to join our exciting, values-driven organisation delivering tangible improvements to health and care across east London. Founded and firmly established in the local health and care system, Care City works as the innovation partner to the Integrated Health System, delivering work of local value and national significance through research, innovation and workforce development. Reporting directly to the CEO, this job is about:
- Developing Care City to be the best organisation we can be, supporting our staff, partners and beneficiaries
- Ensuring we deliver projects with excellence, delighting our clients and achieving a social impact
- Providing executive leadership for Care City’s operational functions, from our exciting new office in Barking to our governance and finances
