Skills for Care to evaluate our Quality Improvement Programme.
We are delighted to have appointed Skills for Care to undertake the independent evaluation of our Quality Improvement Programme. The Skills for Care team will evaluate the effectiveness of the programme, value for money, sustainability and the overall impact it has had on learners and quality.
The Skills for Care team will work on a consultative basis with us to help develop our recently launched Quality Improvement Programme and the outputs of the evaluation will help to inform future similar projects.
Our new Quality Improvement function aims to improve the effectiveness of health and care services across Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest and make sustainable improvements where required. It complements trust specific programmes and helps to address the challenging issues that require people from across our health and care system to work together collaboratively.
Dean Rigg, quality improvement lead, Care City commented
“Quality is at the heart of Care City and everything we do and there is a real appetite amongst our health and social care colleagues to ensure it is at the heart of their organisations also. Since launching our QI Programme, we have trained our fifth cohort of health and social care colleagues in the foundations of QI with our most recent module receiving 100% positive feedback. It is therefore imperative that we continue to ensure the integrity of the Programme and that it continues to meet the needs of the Industry and we are delighted to be collaborating with Skills for Life to guarantee we do this.”
Paul Buchanan, Programme Head for Evidence and Impact, Skills for Care commented “We are delighted to be collaborating with Care City by conducting an independent evaluation, helping to ensure the integrity of its Quality Improvement Programme.”
Dean continued “We are now looking for colleagues from health and social care, who are passionate about delivering high quality and sustainable care to the people of BHR and Waltham Forest to be trained as quality improvement coaches and to assist in spreading quality improvement skills and lead on quality improvement initiatives.”
