Foundations of Quality Improvement Programme receives the RCN seal of approval for health care training.

We are delighted that our Foundations of Quality Improvement Programme has received recognition and accreditation from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).

The Foundations of Quality Improvement Programme was launched late last year and has since seen many healthcare professionals successfully complete the module, which aims to improve the effectiveness of health and care services across Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest and make sustainable improvements where required. It complements trust specific programmes and helps to address the challenging issues that require people from across our health and care system to work together collaboratively.

Dean Rigg, Quality Improvement Lead, Care City commented “This most recent achievement of RCN accreditation demonstrates that delegates undertaking the Foundations of Quality Improvement Programme are guaranteed that the content will promote best practice and lead to improved patient care. Students learn how to evaluate performance in their current area of practice, adopt the model for improvement to make successful changes and analyse data in a way that makes sense”.

RCN Accreditation is a mark of quality and demonstrates excellence within the nursing community. Care City’s Foundations of Quality Improvement Programme was subjected to a rigorous quality assessment process to ensure the learning and development initiatives meet the RCN’s standard of excellence.

Last month Care City appointed Skills for Care to undertake the independent evaluation of its Quality Improvement Programme.
